Parent-Teacher Interviews opened in Compass yesterday afternoon. Interviews will be taking place on Wednesday, 22nd April 2026. These interviews provide an important opportunity to discuss your child’s progress and learning.
This will be an adjusted school day (11:00 am-7:00 pm) and students will only attend their interview with a parent/carer. TheirCare will be operating on this day.
This year, we will have Classroom Teacher Interviews and Specialist Teacher Interviews.
Reminders will be posted via Compass during the holidays to book an interview. Bookings will close on Monday, 20th April 2026.
Classroom Teacher Interviews
Classroom teacher interviews will be scheduled in 15-minute blocks, with each interview running for ~10 minutes. This allows time for transitions and helps ensure the schedule stays on track. If you are booking interviews for siblings, we ask that you leave a gap between bookings (i.e. one timeslot) to support the smooth running of the evening.
Specialist Teacher Interviews
This year, our specialist teachers will also be available for interviews. Please note that specialist interviews are limited to 5 minutes each. If you wish to make a booking with your child’s specialist teachers, please ensure you leave enough time between bookings to avoid missing your allocated times.
We have had a terrific response to our Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal, with Whittlesea Primary School raising $475, bringing us close to our $500 target. We are incredibly proud to support this appeal, and we thank everyone for their generosity.

Thank you to all our families who have purchased a paver this term. The order for new pavers will be placed at the start of Term 2, and we hope to receive the order and have the new pavers installed by the end of Term 2.

Pavers will still be available to purchase over the term break, as we hope to engage with our local Whittlesea businesses, many of whom are either ex-students or have had children attend our school over many years. As we approach our school’s 150-year milestone, also known as a sesquicentennial (pronounced: ses-kwi-sen-ten-ee-uhl) in 2028, we look forward to having as many families/businesses commemorated on our wall. We thank you for your ongoing support.
In Week 1 of Term 2, our captains will be selling ANZAC badges. Items will vary from $2 to $10. Due to the amazing effort last year, where we sold almost the whole box on the first day, we have asked the RSL for 2 boxes this year. A Compass reminder will be sent on the first day back to remind families. Thank you in advance for your support.
