Student Leadership
Tuesday was an exciting day with such a supportive atmosphere as the 17 College Captain candidates gave their nomination speeches to the Clyde North Campus in the Geode and via livestream. The students spoke meaningfully about their faith, their time at St Peter’s and their leadership aspirations. We congratulate all candidates on putting their hand up to lead the College in 2027. Following the College Captain speeches, the Portfolio candidates spoke to the year 11 cohort. Again, the calibre of the speeches was high, and students are congratulated on their applications. Interviews of shortlisted candidates will follow the voting, and we look forward to seeing the make-up of the 2027 Student Executive.
Traffic Management
Parents and carers are reminded that vehicles are not permitted to enter the College grounds for student drop-off or pick-up. With more than 1,200 students arriving and departing each day, limiting vehicle access is an important measure in maintaining a safe environment for all members of our community.
Where possible, we encourage families to arrange drop-off and pick-up at locations away from the immediate College precinct, such as Shopping on Clyde. This helps reduce traffic congestion and improves safety for students and pedestrians.
We also ask all drivers to follow road rules and exercise caution around the College. Unsafe manoeuvres, including U-turns near the campus driveway, place students and other road users at risk and should be avoided.
To further support student safety, the MacKillop Way vehicle gate will be closed each afternoon from 2.30pm.
We thank all parents and carers for their cooperation and vigilance in helping to keep our students, staff and community safe.
COLA Works
The works to build the Covered Outdoor Learning Area on the basketball courts started on August 27th. This is an exciting project which will enable students to be engaging in sport outside no matter the weather.
