St Bernard’s Day

Last Friday, we celebrated the feast day of St Bernard!

We started the day with Mass, where Father Leo spoke to us about how we can be like St Bernard and follow his example of faith, kindness and service. A highlight was our Preps reminding us to “Let Our Light Shine” with an enthusiastic rendition of This Little Light of Mine.

The students then participated in four different activities: creating a mosaic candle, drawing a portrait of St Bernard, playing a game outside that involved teamwork and cooperation, and taking part in a Kahoot all about St Bernard—the saint and our school!

After enjoying a delicious lunch provided by our wonderful parents (Love Serves and so do our parents!), we all sat down to watch St Bernard’s Got Talent! It was wonderful to see the students support one another, encourage our talented performers and demonstrate such fantastic behaviour throughout the day.

It was a lovely celebration, and I think St Bernard would be very proud of our students.

I know I am!

BEE Like St Bernard!

All students and staff decorated a bee and reflected on how they could “BEE like St Bernard” by showing love and serving others.

Together, we created a whole-school display filled with our bees and our ideas for putting LOVE SERVES into action. The display is a wonderful reminder that, just like bees working together, our small acts of kindness, love and service can make a big difference to our school community.

We hope our display inspires everyone to look for ways they can BEE like St Bernard each day!
