Whole School Masses

This term, we are celebrating two whole-school Masses. All families are welcome to attend these. Masses are held in the school hall.

Mary of the Cross (Mary Mackillop)

Next Friday, the 8th of August, we observe the Feast of Saint Mary of the Cross (Mary Mackillop), Australia's first saint. Mary was born in Melbourne on 15th January, 1842. She worked to support her family in a stationery business before becoming a school teacher, and then a nun. She started an order of nuns called the Sisters of St. Joseph. Mary MacKillop made a difference in the lives of Catholic Australians in the early days of our country’s history.

Students will recognise the day through classroom activities, and we will have a special liturgy as part of our assembly next week to commemorate the day. We hope to see you there!

Mini Vinnies Update

This term, our Mini Vinnies group is learning about equality and equity.

Equality means treating everyone the same, but equity means giving people what they need to be their best.

We want to help make sure everyone at our school feels included, supported, and valued. We will be spreading the message at assemblies throughout Term 3 and around our school!
