Sport Update

Interschool Sport

We started this term with a bang, having our Senior Girls Soccer team, Senior Girls Badminton team, Year 7 Girls Soccer team, Senior Boys Netball Team, Year 8 Boys Netball Team, Junior Girls Football team, our Cross Country team and Intermediate Girls Netball ‘B’ team all compete at Region! 

The Junior Girls Football team went undefeated at Region, winning the Grand Final against Berwick 40-0, making it to State! The girls put up a good fight but unfortunately couldn’t bring home a win and were knocked out in the first game. Amazing effort by all the girls and a huge thank you to Mr Booth for coaching them this far. 

The Intermediate Girls ‘B’ team also went the whole day being undefeated, beating Koo Wee Rup in the Grand Final 27-18! Awesome effort girls.

The Year 8 Boys Netball team and the Senior Boys Netball team both came second at Region, versing some good teams along the way. Great job boys!

Cross Country

Our Cross Country team excelled at Region, having 4 students go through to State!

Huge results from all our runners, Olivia Lindley placing 72nd, Mikayla Coutts placing 27th, Sienna Fleisner placing 22nd and Asha Morrow placing 2nd!

A huge thank you to all the staff and coaches who put their hand up to help out!

This month’s nominee is Asha Morrow! Asha shows great dedication to her cross country running and it shows. She placed 1st at Division Cross Country, 2nd at Region Cross Country and 2nd at State Cross Country. Congratulations Asha for being this month’s nominee, your achievements are amazing!
