EBA Update

Throughout the course of last term, we commenced formal bargaining negotiation meetings with the Department and these are continuing on a fortnightly basis. The APF bargaining team is putting each clause of our log of claims to the Department’s negotiations team which is led by Tony Bugden (Executive Director, People and Workplace Relations). Discussions are robust, but our positioning is clear; the unique role and responsibilities of school leaders must be recognised and appropriately remunerated with the required resources and supports.
The APF log of claims reflects the extensive consultation with members and the bargaining team comprised of active principal class members who live the work each and every day. They understand the rewards but also the demands and pressure points.
Whilst there is limited information we can provide due to good faith bargaining principles which precludes us sharing details, rest assured that the APF is strongly advocating for our school leaders. Contrary to other union claims, we are a powerful and influential bargaining agent for our members, and unlike other bargaining agents, completely uncompromised in our representation.
