Victorian President's Report
Tina King - APF Victorian President

To everyone who joined us at last week’s APF AGM & Seminar, thank you! When school leaders come together with purpose, powerful learning happens and that spirit was on full display. Your engagement and participation on the day spoke volumes about the commitment of Victorian principals and assistant principals to lead with vision and impact.
A heartfelt thank you to our speakers for sharing practical insights, to our partners and sponsors for their ongoing support and to our APF Executive, State Council and office team, especially Executive Officer Jenna Benison, for the tireless work behind the scenes. Events like this are only possible because of a community that shows up, leans in and stands together.
I also want to share a brief personal update. This term will be my last as President of the Australian Principals Federation (Victorian Branch). It has been an extraordinary privilege to serve and advocate for our profession by elevating principal voice, strengthening industrial protections, and ensuring the work value of school leadership is recognised and respected. My term officially ends in January 2026, and I remain fully committed to a strong, constructive handover and to continuing the APF’s advocacy with the same clarity of purpose and member-first focus that has guided us throughout.
As we move forward, our agenda remains clear: protect time for instructional leadership; secure fair and sustainable work arrangements; amplify member voice across the system; and champion the wellbeing and professional standing of every school leader.
