School Reminders

Parent Contributions (parent payments/fees)

• We would like to thank all parents who have contributed to the school this year. 
• If you have not yet contributed this year, we encourage you to do so. 
• Your contributions help us enhance and broaden the educational experience for all our students from Foundation to Year 6.
• Curriculum Contributions and Other contributions are voluntary.
• If you are unable or choose not to make financial contributions, your child will not be disadvantaged or denied access to the resources required to deliver the curriculum.

Upcoming Student Free Day

Just a reminder that the Monday before Melbourne Cup day - Monday 3rd November is a student's free day due to a report writing day for staff.  Tuesday, 4th November, is a public holiday for the Melbourne Cup; therefore, the school will be closed. 

Keeping Everyone Safe – Emergency Contacts

As a reminder, if you have another adult coming to pick up your child from school who is not listed as an Emergency Contact, you will need to call the school to provide their identity.   Upon arrival at the school, we may need to request proof of identity (e.g., Driver's License, Credit Card, or Medicare card).  This is a key expectation of Child Safe Standards as we want to ensure that everyone in our school community is safe.   If you wish to update your emergency contacts or add additional contacts, please email the office so they can update your information on Compass.  We do request that these types of updates be in writing.  Email to:  whittlesea.ps@education.vic.gov.au

School Uniform - Footwear 

Just a reminder from our Student Dress Code (Uniform Policy) 

• Daily footwear will consist of only traditional black school shoes (lace-up or Velcro only, no slip-ons) or predominantly black runners. 
• Socks must be plain navy, white or black – no logos 
• Students may change into any appropriate athletic footwear for PE / Sport lessons, regardless of colour.

Leaving in 2026?

 As we are well into our 2026 planning, we kindly request that any families leaving Whittlesea Primary School for 2026 to please complete the following online form @

This will help us ensure that our class sizes are balanced and staffing is accurate.     

Please note: Year 6 students in 2025 do not need to complete this, as we understand that you will be leaving to commence your Secondary years.
