When: For the whole week starting Monday, 27th October to Friday, 31st October.

How it works: Every morning for the week of Monday, 27th - Friday, 31st, your house captains will come to check in and conduct a quick headcount of the number of students who actively travelled to school that day.

Whittlesea will compete against other schools in the area and across Australia. If Whittlesea tops the leaderboard, we could win a $1000 sports equipment voucher for our school.

Regional Division

On Wednesday, 15th October, four Whittlesea Primary School students represented our school at the Regional Athletics. A fantastic job, and you did our school community proud.

Hudson Mathews pushed himself after a leg injury and came in an amazing 2nd in his heat and 4th overall. Piper Briggs faced tough competition in the triple jump but worked hard and didn't give up, ultimately coming 5th in her age group. Harvey Cummins showed fight and pushed himself to the end in his 800m race, coming in 7th. While Hunter Saw came 2nd in his 200m heat, resulting in a 2nd-place finish in the overall race, which will take him to State Athletics in a few weeks.

Well done to all of our students and congratulations on a huge achievement. We are so proud of your efforts and the hard work you have put in.

5/6 Sport

This morning during session 2 our year 5/6 students got together to take part in a range of different sports. When walking around, I noticed that all the students were participating and having fun, demonstrating teamwork, sportsmanship, and honing their skills.

Just a reminder, all students must wear a hat during this session of sport.

From next week, if students do not have a hat, they will be required to sit out and watch for that week.
