Girls Basketball

U14B girls went up against the Tigers, losing 20 – 10. All players worked hard to  get points on the board and showed great determination.

U16A's had a close game against Minders Blue with a very lucky 1-point win right before the end of the game. Player of the game was Grace O’Sullivan, who put up 10 points for her team and was a key asset with her speed down the court.

U16B Snowy Owls had a slow start, but with the help from one another, College came out on top with a 19-point win of 43 – 24. It was a good game by all the girls, with Olivia Baulch scoring 14 points on fast breaks, and Annika Fitzsimmons put up 13 points with her rebounding and putbacks. Every one played their own game, with everyone getting a score on the board.

Div 2 Snowy Owls put up a tough fight against reigning premiers, Tigers, with a 9-point loss 34 – 25. Players of the day were Saskia Gould putting up 12 points with her three’s being a key factor for the game and Tara Gould, who was there for every rebound, put 9 points on the board. It was a great team game.

Div 3 Majestic Owls had a close game against Saint Mary’s Black with a close 4-point win of 28 – 24. The girls played well together. As a young team, they supported each other to bring home another win. Player of the day was Elsie Brown, putting up 14 points, and everyone that night had a score on the board.

On Friday, our U12 B Sooty Owls went up against Minders Blue and won 28 – 10, with an outstanding effort from Hazel Johns, who put up 14 points and helped her team set the pace of the game. Each player put up a fight, really wanting to come out on top, and worked together to achieve that.

Thank you to coaches, umpires, timers, scorers, and everyone involved in keeping their kids enjoying the sports they love with friends.
