Cross Country

On Tuesday the 5th of May, we held our annual House Cross Country. It was a super competitive day, with the houses neck and neck across the day.

Big thank you to the school community for coming out to cheer our students home.

Thank you to our staff for assisting with the running of the day and Kylie and team for a yummy BBQ lunch.

Big congratulations to the below students on placing on the day and to Ansett who only just got over Jacka by 77 points. Participation is everything - these points could have been made up with just a couple more Jacka students racing on the day.

NCD Cross Country

On Friday 7th May, 10 secondary students headed off to St Arnaud for the  NCD cross country. Having performed well at our school event Jade, Noah, Ella, Archie, Ryan, Zane, Brodie, Peyton, Chanelle and I were there to represent our school and try our best. The weather managed to hold with it turning out to be a pleasant day, with everyone making it over the finish line – even if sometimes it didn’t feel like it – and overall putting in our best. Congratulations to Zane, Archie, Noah, Jade and myself for making it to the next stage - The LMR cross country!

Thanks to Mr P and Joan for taking us down and supporting us during the day. Credit also to Mr Forrest who funded lunch, it turned out to be a great day.

Calder Winter Sports

On Thursday the 7th of May, our Year 3-6 students participated in the Calder Winter Sports in Boort. It was a day full of fun despite the cold weather, with students getting to mix with others. Great job to all students on their efforts on the day. Thank you to all staff who assisted with supervision and coaching on the day.

National PE Week

A huge thank you to our Sports and House Captains for their outstanding leadership in running a variety of games and sporting activities during National PE and Sport Week last week. It was fantastic to see so many students actively participating, having fun, and staying active throughout the week. The enthusiasm, teamwork, and school spirit on display made the week a great success. Well done to everyone involved for helping create such an enjoyable and inclusive celebration of physical activity and sport!
