This is Alessio, one of the Fire Carriers for 2023. Do you love to watch cartoons? I do! One cartoon you might have seen is a show called Little J and Big Cuz. It's an Indigenous cartoon show that’s funny and educational but at the same time shows culture and country. Let me tell you more about it.
Little J, he's five and Big Cuz, she’s nine. They’re a couple of Indigenous Australian kids living with their Nanna and their dog called, Old Dog. They both go to school and go on adventures learning about indigenous culture and how their ancestors would have lived on country.
Well known Australian Indigenous actors Miranda Tapsell and Deborah Mailman, voice over the main characters Little J and Big Cuz. Inspiration for the cartoon colours and landscapes was from well known indigenous artist Albert Namatjira.
