Travel to and from SSP Training Venues Friendly Reminder:

Every child, regardless of their postcode is expected to travel with their class to and from practice venues, as a part of our Duty of Care. Students are not to arrive late or leave early from venues. In 2025, there will be no permanent ‘late’ arrivals or ‘early’ departures issued. It is expected that choosing WHC and the SSP, means you are committed to our 9am-3pm school hours – every day of the week.

If, your child is required to leave early or arrive late (on the odd occasion), due to an appointment, please contact Anthe Petrovics our Attendance Officer via email to arrange this, so that it is visible on compass (for all staff). This is not to be arranged via Sport Coaches or Teachers.

Student Achievements

Congratulations to Lexie Whatley (AFL) for making the Victorian 19 & Under Squad of 25 and will train within the NV Elevate Program. A special mention to Hayley Evans who made the Victorian 17 & Under Pre-Squad of 50.

Lexie and Hayley were also named in the Geelong Cougars 19 & Under team as part of their Victorian Netball League Development Program to prepare players for potential future U/23 and Championship with the powerhouse VNL Club. A fantastic effort by both players. A well done also to other players trialling; Madi McCartney, Ruby Cook and Indi Madden.

Aliyah Lesa was selected in the City West Falcons 19 & U Squad of players and this week headed of to the Nesian Netball Tour in New Zealand. Best wishes Aliyah for a great week.

Jack TePaa this term was a part of the Team Vic 15 Boys Squad that won the Australian Championships. Awesome effort Jack.

There have been many players who have also recently been involved or about to be involved in local league finals campaigns, so we wish you all the best. Award nights are being held to recognise great achievements for league, club best & fairest, and hot shot awards for their respective clubs. There are many winners, well done to all and please send through images so we can celebrate your achievements!!

This term we have also focused on skills testing to assess individual areas of strength and opportunities for improvement to implement into our planning moving forward individuals and cohorts moving into Term 4 and 2026.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS: Associations will be holding their representative trials in the coming weeks/month so please be aware of your association trial dates. Also Regional Trials will be held in T4 for State Titles Championships. Again, be in touch with your regional base. We will inform students of these dates when confirmed.

Again well done to the Netball and Athlete Development Staff for your support of students throughout a busy Term 3 your efforts!!
