This week has reminded us of the many opportunities available to our students beyond the classroom. Congratulations to all students who participated in the Dinninup Show, where Harvey Ag students achieved some outstanding results. These successes reflect not only our students' hard work and dedication but also the support of staff who invest so much time helping them prepare.

The College's Agricultural Advisory Committee also met this week. Discussions focused on the College's future direction, including the Farm Strategic Plan, enterprise development, staffing requirements, and planning for the years ahead. It is encouraging to have such strong support from industry and community representatives as we continue to shape the future of Harvey Ag.

Mr Swallow, Ms Craven and I attended a Youth Mental Health Forum this week, which brought together representatives from education, health and community support services. These opportunities to connect with organisations and agencies that support young people are invaluable and help ensure we continue to provide the best possible support for our students and families.

As planning for 2027 continues, I have found myself reflecting on how quickly this year has passed. Looking out of my office window this week, the roses in full bloom have served as a timely reminder that, amid the busyness of school life, we sometimes need to pause and appreciate the simple things around us. In a world that often seems to move at a relentless pace, there is value in taking a moment to stop, reflect and, quite literally, "smell the roses."

With Graduation rapidly approaching and preparations well underway, we still have much to do before the end of the year. However, we should take time to recognise and celebrate the achievements that have made 2026 such a successful and memorable year for our students.

Take care, enjoy the weekend.
