We are excited to introduce a regular “Learning at Our School” feature in our school newsletter. Each edition, one of our curriculum leaders will share insights into teaching and learning across the school, highlighting what students are exploring in the classroom and how we support their growth.
SaGE Network Maths Game Day!
On Thursday 15th October, 15 students from Years 4–5 proudly represented CPS at the SaGE Network Maths Game Day, joining over 100 students from across the network for a day filled with numeracy and problem-solving!
The event aimed to enrich the educational opportunities available to our high-ability maths students, providing a series of challenging tasks and a wonderful opportunity to connect with like-minded students who share a passion for mathematics.
Throughout the day, students worked both collaboratively in teams and independently to tackle a range of problem-solving and fluency-based challenges. They demonstrated their mathematical thinking, teamwork and persistence while putting their skills to the test. We were also delighted to see some of our students win prizes in the games!
