Hello Wonderful HPS Community!

We're looking forward to celebrating Book Week 2026 with our annual Library Book Week Parade on Monday 24 August.

This year's theme, Symphony of Stories, reminds us that every story has its own unique voice and that, together, books create a wonderful collection of ideas, characters and adventures for us to enjoy.

2026 Children's Book Week - The Children’s Book Council of Australia

Our parade will begin at 9:15 am in the COLA, and families are warmly invited to join us as students dress as a favourite book character and celebrate the joy of reading. Costumes don't need to be elaborate or expensive—simple, creative ideas inspired by a much-loved book are perfect.

We look forward to sharing this special morning with our school community and celebrating the many stories that inspire us to read, imagine and learn.
