CELEBRATING OUR FAITH

Our Lady, Help of Christians: Our Patroness and Protector

On Monday we celebrated the Solemnity of Our Lady, Help of Christians, the patroness of Australia.  The early Australian Catholic community turned to Mary as a pillar of strength, courage, and unwavering hope.

During our Catholic Schools Week opening Mass, we reflected on how Mary continues to be a 'Help of Christians' for us today. Just as she guided and supported the early Church, she walks alongside our students, encouraging them.  Well done to our students who were part of the mass making it extra special.

A Prayer for a Hope-Filled Future

Dear Lord,

We thank You for the gift of our Catholic school community.

As we celebrate Catholic Schools Week, fill our hearts with confidence in the bright future You have planned for us.

Guide our students as they grow in knowledge, that they may become literate and numerate, ready to serve others. Strengthen their hearts so they may remain faith-filled, always trusting in Your love.

Amen.

St Carlos Acutis Exhibition

Bishop Peter Murphy has had the vision of the millennial Saint Carlo Acutis being accessible to the young people of our diocese to inspire faith and to turn their gaze toward God. To that end he has purchased resources that make up a travelling exhibition of St Carlo Acutis including an actual relic.

The St Carlo Acutis travelling exhibition of life, works and relics began on October 12 2025 and have continued to pilgrimage around the diocese to schools and parishes across the Diocese throughout 2026. St Joseph's Warialda will host the exhibition on 22 / 23 June 2026. We look forward to sharing more information with you as the time is closer.
