Open Day

What an amazing day we had last Saturday for our Open Day, the weather gods certainly delivered the perfect autumn conditions for everyone.

It is always great to see students proudly showing the school to their parents, grandparents, and siblings, highlighting all the on-site opportunities.

It is also wonderful to catch up with former students and see where their journeys have taken them, probably the most rewarding part for staff members.

Sports

Our hockey team has been more than competitive in Collie on Monday nights, which is great to see and a fantastic experience for the students involved.

Netball in town has also commenced on Mondays, with a mix of wins and losses so far. Our girls have been spread across several teams and are representing the College well.

On Tuesday night, our College netball team was victorious in a competitive match. It was a tough and physical contest, but the girls maintained their composure and lifted in the third quarter to take control of the game. Well done, the final score was 34–24.

Colds and Flu

It is a timely reminder, with winter approaching, for everyone to take steps to protect themselves and others by covering coughs and sneezes and washing hands regularly.

Bedding

We have also noticed that many students have only one set of sheets. It is a requirement for boarding students to have two sets, so that on changeover day, one set can be placed on the bed while the used set is sent to the laundry. As you can appreciate, more than 60 sets of sheets are sent to the laundry each Tuesday, in addition to the general laundry from over 120 students. It is physically impossible to expect staff to manage both the general laundry and this volume of bedding.

The ladies work through the sheets over the next few days. Can I ask that you please ensure to assist our hard-working ladies? Thank you in advance.
