Open Day Wrap-Up
Our annual Open Day was once again a standout event, showcasing the breadth of learning, our facilities, and the strong community that makes Harvey Agricultural College so unique.
As this was my first Open Day at the College, I was incredibly impressed by both the scale of the event and the pride evident across the campus. With more than 1,200 visitors through the gates, the day reflected a strong sense of purpose and community connection. Overwhelmingly positive feedback further highlighted the quality and authenticity of the experience.

Our class displays provided insight into teaching and learning across the College and recognised the work of our teaching staff, whose efforts are often less visible. It was pleasing to see visitors engaging with staff and students to better understand our curriculum and the range of pathways available.
Across the campus, visitors visited displays from each of the Farm enterprises and the Trades areas, including automotive, building and construction, furniture, and metals. These provided insight into a Harvey Ag College education. I acknowledge the work of all staff in preparing for the day, with their professionalism ensuring the College was presented to a high standard.

I would also like to recognise the outstanding contribution of our kitchen and domestic staff. The food presented was of an exceptional standard and widely praised, reflecting the team’s organisation, skill, and pride in their work.
Our students were, as always, first-rate. Their confidence, knowledge, and willingness to engage with visitors made them outstanding ambassadors for the College.
Events such as Open Day rely on a collective effort. I extend my sincere thanks to our staff, students, families, Board, and Advisory members for their contributions to a highly successful day.
