Sustainability @ TPPS 

Thank you to our fantastic volunteers who looked after the chickens over the Autumn holidays - Sophie, Rebecca D, Ann, Helen, Rebecca Q, Kate, Maral, Rebecca V, Sara and Yvonne! We hope you enjoyed your time with the chickens and found a few eggs...maybe even Easter eggs?

We have hit the ground running in Term 2, trying to take advantage of the lovely weather and the hope of more rain for our vegetable garden. This week we planted bok choy and sugar snap peas, and discovered lots of potatoes growing in the garden from last year!

The Grade 6s have added knot tying to the list of their many talents. They are practising the bowline, clove hitch, taut line, figure 8 and the round turn and two half hitches knot! We learned that knowing a good knot will always come in handy, especially when you are camping, travelling or gardening.

The Grade 5s have been filming their videos about why trees are so important. It was great to watch the way they collaborated, cooperated and created together. We are looking forward to seeing the finished products!
