YEAR 3 CAMP
Our Year 3 students are heading off to Gilwell Park on Monday for their very first camp experience. The excitement around the school is certainly building, with students eagerly preparing for what is sure to be a fantastic few days filled with adventure, teamwork, and new experiences.
Camp provides a wonderful opportunity for students to further develop their independence, resilience, and friendships in a fun and supportive environment. We know our students are going to have an incredible time participating in all of the exciting activities on offer.
Our Year 3 families are most welcome to stay and wave the students off on Monday morning as they begin their camp adventure.
MATILDA JR. TICKETS
Our tickets for Matilda Jr. are almost ready to go. A Compass post will be shared with families as soon as ticket sales officially open.
Please make sure you know your child’s House so you can purchase tickets for the correct performance night. You can view your child’s House via their Compass profile.
Production Nights
• Wednesday 17 June – Marrum and Dulai Wurrung
• Thursday 18 June – Wallert and Bunjil
Tickets will be $30 each, with the purchasing link available through Compass once released.
We cannot wait to showcase the incredible talent, hard work, and dedication of our students and staff. It is shaping up to be a truly spectacular production!
PARENT TEACHER INTERVIEWS
Our Parent Teacher Interviews are coming up in Week 5 and will run across the following dates:
• Tuesday 19 May
• Wednesday 20 May
Wednesday will be our later evening, with interview times available until 7:40pm.
These meetings provide a valuable opportunity for families to discuss their child’s academic progress, wellbeing, and interpersonal development with their classroom teacher(s). We strongly encourage all families to make a booking and attend.
Bookings are now live on Compass. Families can access bookings through the Community tab and selecting Conferences.
PARENT INFORMATION SESSION
A reminder to families that our next Parent Information Session will take place on Friday 15 May, with a focus on our Year 3–6 Literacy approaches.
We would love to see as many of our Year 3–6 families there as possible. These sessions provide valuable insight into the teaching and learning approaches used across the school and ways families can support learning at home.
The session will begin at 1:30pm, prior to Assembly, allowing families to remain onsite for Assembly afterwards if they wish. This adjusted timing was introduced in response to parent feedback, and we are pleased to see strong engagement from families.
A Parent Helper Information Session will also run at 1:15pm prior to the event. This provides families with the opportunity to complete the required induction process needed to support school activities such as excursions, incursions, and classroom programs.
CURRICULUM DAY
A reminder to all families that our upcoming Curriculum Day will take place on Thursday 21 May. This is a student-free day for all students.
Throughout the day, our teaching staff will engage in professional learning focused on the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model, while our Education Support staff will continue professional learning connected to our OPPS wellbeing frameworks and support practices.
Full-day care arrangements will be available through Kelly Club. Information regarding bookings can be found on the school website.
SCHOOL DISCO
Our Parents and Friends Group have been working incredibly hard behind the scenes organising this year’s School Disco, which will take place on Friday 22 May.
Information for families was sent out via Compass today.
We would love to see as many students as possible come along to enjoy a fantastic evening filled with music, dancing, and fun with friends. School discos are always a highlight of the term and provide students with the opportunity to create wonderful memories and strengthen connections across the school community.
We cannot wait to see everyone showing off their dance moves on the night!
