Principal's Report

Opening Mass, House welcome night, school photos, our first Year 12 pickleball and the swimming sports are just a few of the community events we have enjoyed in the past couple of weeks. Each has provided wonderful opportunities for connection, celebration and school spirit.

I am extremely proud of the way our Year 12 students are embracing their final year. They are leading the student body through deliberate and intentional actions – they are St Joseph’s. Their sense of fun, balanced with a strong sense of responsibility, is simply wonderful to witness.

Our Year 7 students are continuing to settle into secondary school. This transition can feel demanding and very different for some; however, with our support and ongoing guidance, they are being accompanied on this new journey and experience.

As we move into the Easter season, we are offered the opportunity to reflect on our actions and the way we journey with the most vulnerable. This is at the heart of our mission, and at times it is not easy. The '30-second pause' can be helpful – waiting before we speak, waiting before we respond. This brief moment can create space for words of kindness and more thoughtful actions.

God Bless.
