Grade 4

This term has been an exceptionally productive and rewarding one for our Year 4 students. Their tenacity, focus, and commitment to learning have been evident across all areas of the curriculum. Growth has been particularly strong in our reading and writing units, including our work on narrative writing, as well as in mathematics, where students have explored a range of topics such as analysing data and applying their skills to real‑world contexts. These foundations place students in an excellent position as we move into Term 3.

This term has also brought a number of significant events and challenges, all of which the students embraced with maturity and enthusiasm. Highlights included the athletics carnival, several house competitions, the N.R.L. clinic, the First Nations Dance Workshop, and of course, the Woorabinda School Camp. Each of these experiences required students to step outside their comfort zones, collaborate with peers, and demonstrate resilience. We are incredibly proud of the way they rose to each occasion.

It has been a big term, and the students have earned a well‑deserved break. We extend our sincere thanks to all parents and carers for your ongoing support, and we wish everyone a restful and warm holiday period.

Kind regards,

The Year 4 Team
