Secondary Update
What an incredible term it's been for our secondary students! We've had the privilege of watching them grow, learn and achieve across a variety of engaging programs and excursions.
Our budding meteorologists had a brilliant time at Scienceworks, where they explored the fascinating world of weather. The highlight was undoubtedly the Lightning Theatre demonstration, where our students watched in amazement as lightning crackled through the air! It was wonderful to see them making connections between the dramatic display and our classroom learning about weather patterns and electrical storms.
The ASDAN Cafe Program continues to be a roaring success. Our students have truly outdone themselves this term, mastering everything from perfect coffee-making techniques to managing orders and handling transactions with growing confidence. The improvement in their customer service skills has been remarkable, and it's been heartening to see their genuine pride in serving staff. Special mention goes to their signature chocolate chip biscuits, which have become a favourite among our regular customers!
We're also incredibly proud of our senior students who recently participated in the Bronze Medallion program at Leisurelink, Waurn Ponds. Their dedication to water safety has been exemplary. Through weekly sessions with Mary, they've developed their swimming abilities, rescue techniques, and emergency response skills. The growth in their confidence around water has been fantastic to witness.
As we wrap up the year, I'd like to acknowledge the tremendous effort our students have put into all their learning activities. Their enthusiasm, willingness to try new things, and support for one another have made this a truly special term.
Well done, secondary superstars – you've absolutely aced this year!
