Upper Secondary (Years 9-10)
This term the year 9/10's have been working on Snackson Cafe, preparing, cooking and serving up amazing loaded potatoes to staff at Jackson school! This week, we wrap up loaded potatoes and we have an exciting new menu coming out next term- stay tuned!
Last week, students celebrated RUOK day and participated in a range of activities at school. Students learnt about the importance of and practiced checking in on their friends, families and peers. Students also dressed up in yellow and enjoyed a barbeque in awareness of RUOK day.
Throughout this term, students have consistently demonstrated school values such as respect, responsibility, independence, learning and safety. As a reward for demonstrating these values, some students have earned themselves an excursion to the MCG and others, to watch Shaun the Sheep at Sun Theatre Yarraville. Keep up the good work next term.
Senior Secondary (VPC/ASDAN)
Students in VPC have been busy wrapping up their final learning and work experience programs for this term.
In Numeracy over the last few weeks, students have been looking at time on analogue and digital clocks as well as studying the history of calendars and how we mark important dates on a calendar or diary.
Last week, students dressed in formal clothes and were interviewed by staff from Brimbank council for a mock job interview. This was the final result of hard work writing cover letters and updating resumes. All the students had excellent feedback and should feel very proud of themselves!
Literacy has been focusing on editing and proofreading camp powerpoints before they are presented to the year 9/10s next term.
Work experience at Dimmeys and The Bridge finished this week. Students attending The Bridge were presented with a certificate and water bottle.

It has been a very busy term for everyone in the ASDAN Program!
All students worked extremely hard to complete their ASDAN outcomes. Well done to all the ASDAN students for all their hard work this term!
Next term we look forward to working together on a special project, which will involve planning a special event. We continue with our work experience, community access and travel training programs with a variety of new places to visit, more to come on that next term.
