The Issue Highlights
Dear Families,
Thank you also to our families for your continued support of your children and working together with us to achieve the best possible outcomes for them.
This term we have celebrated: NAIDOC Week, 100 Days of Prep, Principals' Day, Bullying No Way Week, Literacy and Numeracy Week, Father's Day and R U OK? Day. We have also had our 9-12 Winter Formal, Literacy, 3/4 Sleepover and Swimming. Term 4 is equally jam packed!
Achievement Assembly, Smoking Ceremony and AFL Match

This morning we held our Achievement Assemblies to recognise our students' success and achievements this term for displaying our school values of Learning, Independence, Safety, Respect and Responsibility. Congratulations to all of our students.
Today we were also joined by Aboriginal Community Leaders including Aboriginal Educator and Cultural Leader, Jason Tamiru, who conducted a smoking ceremony, Acknowledgement of Country and performed the Yidaki (Didjeridoo).
We were also joined by Kyle Vander Kuyp (Australian Olympic Hurdling Champion) and Leanne Brook (General Manager of The Long Walk ESPC).
Our students and staff also took part in our annual AFL match alongside ex-AFL Champion from North Melbourne and Collingwood FC, Daniel Wells.
Thank you to all of our special guests and especially to Shane for your support and coordination.

Car Parking

Thank you for your ongoing support in managing traffic and car parking around Jackson School. The safety of our students, staff and families when onsite remains our continued priority.
We are continuing to work with Brimbank Council. If you have been fined in the area shown in the photos above, Brimbank Council will review your infringement notice. Parking across the pedestrian cross-over is not an offence. Please continue to obey the local parking signs.
To reduce the amount of vehicles at student collection time, if you would like to access the free Student Disability Transport Program (SDTP) bus please contact the school office.
School Holidays Activities

Here are some activity suggestions for the school holidays:
Last Day of Term 3
Today is the last day for students in Term 3. The first day of Term 4 IS NOT a student free day.
Students return to school on Monday 5th October 2026. Buses will operate as normal on this day.
I hope you all have a happy and safe holiday break, and we look forward to seeing you all on Monday 5th October for a busy last term of the year.
