Office Updates
By Helen Hassiotis
Term 4 is well underway, and there are lots of exciting events and activities to look forward to this term! Information regarding upcoming events, permissions and payments will continue to be shared with families as needed.
Â
Voluntary Parent Contributions
A gentle reminder that voluntary parent contributions are greatly appreciated and make a valuable difference in supporting our school, helping us provide resources, programs and opportunities for our students. We sincerely appreciate the support of our families and thank you for contributing to our school community in any way you can. đ
Â
Family Account Credits & CSEF
If you are unsure whether you have any remaining family account credits or CSEF funds available to put towards upcoming activities, please feel free to get in touch and Iâd be happy to check this for you.
You can email me at helen.hassiotis@education.vic.gov.au or pop into the school office in person. Iâm always happy to help! đ
Â
Thank you for your ongoing support, and I hope everyone has a wonderful Term 4!
Â
We recommend that families pack a spare change of clothes in their childâs school bag, particularly for younger students. Spare clothes can be helpful in the event of bathroom accidents, spills or, during wet weather, slips and falls in the mud and puddles.
Â
While the office may have some spare clothing available, we cannot always guarantee that suitable items will be available when needed. Having a spare set of clothes in your childâs bag ensures they have something clean and comfortable to change into if needed.
Â
Please note that we currently have no spare pants available in size 12 or larger. As a result, older students who slip in the mud while playing outside may need to remain in their wet or dirty clothes for the rest of the school day if they do not have a change of clothes with them.
Â
What should you pack?
Â
Alternatively, if you prefer, packing just a spare pair of pants can be a helpful option, particularly during wet weather.
Â
Finally, please ensure that all clothing items are clearly labelled with your childâs name to help them find their way home.
Â
Thank you for your support in helping us keep our students comfortable and ready to learn, whatever the weather!

To volunteer at Parkhill, all volunteers must have a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) and complete the Volunteer OH&S Induction. We maintain a record of completed requirements to help ensure all volunteers are ready to support our school community.
Under the Child Safe Standards, all volunteers must also complete an appropriate induction and training in child safety and wellbeing. This includes familiarising themselves with the policies, procedures and Code of Conduct outlined in our Child Safety Induction Pack. This induction must be completed annually to ensure all volunteers remain up to date with current requirements.
Â
Completing your induction and registering on CompassCheck
Your volunteer induction is completed online through CompassCheck. If you havenât already done so, please register on CompassCheck and ensure your WWCC details are up to date. Once registered, you can sign in at the Compass kiosk using your mobile number, making the sign-in process quicker and easier.
Â
Signing in and out at school
When you arrive at school, please remember to sign in at the Compass kiosk and collect a visitor lanyard. Before leaving, you must sign out and return your lanyard. These procedures help us keep track of everyone on school grounds, which is particularly important in an emergency.
Â
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in meeting the Departmentâs requirements for school volunteers. Your support is greatly valued, and together we can help maintain a safe environment for our entire school community.
