Year 7 and 8 Camp

What a fabulous time we had on the Year 7 and 8 Camp.
We departed on Monday, with plenty of excitement and anticipation as we headed down the freeway towards Phillip Island. Despite leaving in drizzling rain, by the time we arrived at San Remo we were greeted with clear skies, although it was still quite brisk!
At our first stop in San Remo, students had the opportunity to watch the famous pelican feeding. After a lunch break, some rock skimming and plenty of fresh sea air, we were back on the buses to continue our journey across to CYC Phillip Island.
On arrival, students eagerly found their cabins and settled into their rooms. There was certainly plenty of excitement when some discovered that their cabins even had their own bathrooms!
It wasn’t long before we were straight into camp activities. Across the two days, students participated in the Smiths Beach walk, archery, high ropes, giant swing and dual flying fox. It has been fantastic to see so many students stepping outside their comfort zones, encouraging one another and having a go at new challenges. There have been plenty of laughs, achievements and memorable moments along the way. After three very busy days and lots of fresh air, we had plenty of tired bodies, long lasting friendships formed and memories made.
