Year 7 and 8 City Focus Days

City Focus Day — Years 7 & 8

As part of our Years 7 and 8 program, students will take part in a City Focus Day on Monday 19 October for 8A, 8B, 8C, 7D and 7E and Tuesday 20 October for 8D, 8E, 7A, 7B, 7C and 7F. This will give them the chance to explore Melbourne as a hands-on learning experience.

This day supports our students' growing independence during this important stage of their development. Working in small groups, students will navigate the city using public transport, complete set tasks, and engage with key civic and cultural sites — all under teacher supervision.

The day is a valuable opportunity for students to build confidence, teamwork, and real-world skills like reading timetables and managing time and money in a public setting.

We're proud to offer every student in the cohort the same opportunity to engage with the city, regardless of their prior experience.
