From the Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope you enjoyed the information I shared with you last week in our newsletter regarding MACS' Vision for Instruction.
This week we have further exciting news! The companion material to the Vision for Instruction is being launched mid year and it is called the Vision for Engagement. This week Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) contacted me to say our school had been chosen to be the primary school model for the Vision for Engagement as we had been recommended for being a school that does 'engagement' so well! Consequently, over the next 2 weeks we will have a media team coming in to take photos and short videos of our students for the publication of this exciting teaching resource.
Please email me at principal@sbedesbn.catholic.edu.au if you would like your child excluded from any such photography.
Cross Country 2025
Tomorrow is our annual school cross-country. Students will walk from the school to Myrtle Park at 12.30pm.
Students must wear a plain tshirt in their house colour and bring along a water bottle and hat (advised).
We would love to see you come along if possible to cheer on the students as they do their best to support their team.

PREP Enrolments - the time to enrol is now!
Yesterday we had a very busy morning whilst our Open Day was occurring. Our Year 6 students conducted tours for potential future families and as usual our senior students did us proud!
If you know of someone who is yet to enrol their child please encourage them to do so ASAP. Prep Enrolment interviews will be taking place in May.
ECSI Survey
A big thank you to those families that were able to complete the ECSI (Enhancing Catholic School Identity) Survey this week. If you haven't completed this and have some time in the coming days, please follow the email instructions that were sent earlier in the week.
Running Club
We have been pleased to have had a couple of great turn outs at our recent running clubs. I am sure many of our attendees will benefit from their running practice. Beginning next week our running club will continue on Friday mornings 8am at Myrtle Park. Please email Mr Price if you need any further details.
Assemblies
We would love more parents to come along and enjoy our school assemblies with us! They are now held on a Monday afternoon at 2.30pm in the school hall. This term they are in weeks 2,4,6,9 and 11.
Kindest regards,
Amanda
