Boys Year 3/4 Marwal Magic 3
E/F Grade | Marwal Magic 28 defeated Boroondara Park Echidnas 13 | A great 15 points win for the boys. Good contributions from Auden Marshall-Chung (1), Liam Kha (2), Noah Lim (8) and Alex Pike (16), who is bringing his skills developed over the holidays to great effect. A good start for the boys to lead 7-16 at the main break and continue on with their performance in the second. |
Girls Year 5/6 Marwal Magic 5
C Grade | Marwal Magic 21 defeated THPS Gr 5 9 | A great win for our girls in their first game back from holidays and the bye, running out the game to win by 12 Good contributions from Heidi Markovski (2), Samara Tuli (2) and a massive game from Madison Lim (17). After what seemed to be a very close game 6-5 at the break, the girls with sound input from the coach, were able to lift in the second half with a great 10-0 run in the first 8 minutes to put the game beyond reach. |
Girls Year 1/2 Marwal Magic 6
B Grade | Marwal Magic 10 defeated Tempy Park Tigers 6. | A narrow escape for our girls, who were challenged in the second half, but managed to hold on for a 4 point win. Contributions from Mila Sahin (6) and Audrey Heath-Ross (4) got the points for the team, with a few of our other regular scores, just not quite finding the right position to make their shots, so perhaps next week. A 0-7 start had the girls well placed in the first 10 minutes of the game, with Tempy Park scoring the next 3 to get to a 6-7 position with 7 minutes to go. It wasn't until an excellent shot at goal from Audrey with 1.38 left on the clock, gave us the buffer we desperately needed!! |
