Subtraction Superstars!

This week, our Preps have been busy becoming subtraction superstars! We have been exploring lots of different ways to subtract numbers using hands-on materials and practical activities. The students have been learning how to count back from a number, use number lines, and draw pictures to help solve subtraction problems. It has been wonderful to see the Preps experimenting with different strategies and discovering which methods work best for them. They have really challenged themselves to think carefully about numbers and have enjoyed creating their own exciting subtraction problems! We are so proud of the confidence, persistence and mathematical thinking they have shown throughout the week.

Reminders

• Father’s Day/Special Person’s Day Celebration: This will be held this Friday morning. We look forward to celebrating the special people in our students’ lives!

• Milo Monkey’s Birthday: We will be celebrating Milo Monkey’s birthday in Week 10!
