Middle School News
Upper Primary (Years 5-6)
On Monday 04th of May, the local police visited the year 5/6 classes to consolidate our learning on rights and wrongs. Students asked and answered questions and were excited to look at the equipment the police carried such as handcuffs, walkie talkies and their vests. 56C have continued with their language experience this Term.
Students are learning to use kitchen equipment safely while they make potato fritters.
Lower Secondary (Years 7-8)
On Friday last week the 78s went travel training. We went for a community walk to a park close by. Students were able to buy some snacks from the local Milk Bar for a picnic at the park. 78C practiced crossing the road, walking safely in pairs and following all instructions.
Students in 78C have also been focusing on the digraph ‘ai’ and ‘ay’ during reading. Last week students practiced the skill of segmenting. Students were able to challenge themselves to writing full sentences correctly on their whiteboard using their listening skills.
