The Issue Highlights

Dear Families,

It has been great to see our students engaging so positively with their learning, showing our school values of safety, respect and responsibility so far this term. Students continue to engage in events from excursions and camps to travel training. These experiences help our students develop not only academically, but also socially and emotionally.

Our staff continue to work with great dedication to create supportive learning environments for our students. Today, we celebrated our Education Support (ES) Staff and took time to celebrate and acknowledge the incredible work of these staff members who play a vital role in the day-to-day life of our school. These include classroom ES, admin, facilities and mental/allied health staff. They are an important part of what makes our school a safe, caring and effective place to learn and grow. Their dedication, patience and behind-the-scenes efforts often go unnoticed, but their impact is deeply felt by staff, students and families. Thank you!

Mother's Day Stall and Morning Tea

We would like to extend our thanks to our wonderful school community for supporting the Mother’s Day Stall and Mother’s Day Morning Tea last week.

A special thank you goes to our Parent and Friends committee, volunteers, staff, and families who generously gave their time and contributions to help make both events such a success. The Mother’s Day Stall gave students the opportunity to choose thoughtful gifts for the special people in their lives, while the Morning Tea was a lovely occasion to celebrate and connect as a community.

We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support and enthusiasm shown by our families and friends. Events like these are only possible because of your kindness and involvement.

Thank you again for helping create such memorable celebrations for our students and families and many thanks to Bakers Delight, Taylors Lakes Market and Woolworths who donated some of the food and prizes.

Save the Date - Winter Fete

Friday, 12th June is our Winter Fete. This annual event is a highlight of our school calendar and a great opportunity for our community to come together.

Our Winter Fete will be filled with fun activities, delicious food and many novelties that our staff and students have worked hard to produce for each other. One of the highlights will be our raffle, featuring some truly amazing prizes generously donated by local businesses and our school community. We would love to see you there any time between 11.30am and 1.30pm in the school courtyard.

Second Hand Uniforms for Winter Fete

If any families have uniforms that their children have outgrown we would love the donation via the school office. We hope to have a second hand uniform shop at the Winter Fete in June. It would be much appreciated if they had been washed for future sale.

National Sorry Day

Observed each year on May 26, National Sorry Day is an important occasion for Australians to reflect on the impact of past government policies that led to the forced removal of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children. It also recognises the strength and resilience of the Stolen Generations and the ongoing effects of this history.

Students can choose to wear casual clothes in the colours of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flag to school on May 26.

I hope you all have a lovely weekend!
