YEAR 11 BIOLOGY 

Biology

The year 11 Biology class are currently exploring human body systems and what better way to identify the organs and their functions, by carrying out a dissection on a rat.  Students developed their dissection skills, as they carefully operated on their rats, to open them up and separate the organs.  In doing so, they able to see how each organ was shaped, how it was connected to other organs and what its job is.  They were also able to compare the digestive system of a herbivore with that of a human.  A wonderful hands on experience.
