BPS NAPLAN Relative Growth 2023 - 2025

Dear Parents and Carers,
We are delighted to share Brighton Primary School's outstanding NAPLAN Relative Growth results from 2023–2025. Please refer to the document below.
Relative Growth measures the progress students make between Year 3 and Year 5 compared with students across Victoria who started at a similar achievement level. These results provide valuable insight into the impact of our teaching and learning over time.
Brighton Primary School achieved exceptional growth across all five NAPLAN learning areas and ranked among the highest-performing schools in the Beachside Network:
- 1st in Reading Growth (90%)
- 1st in Writing Growth (88%)
- Equal 1st in Numeracy Growth (85%)
- 3rd in Spelling Growth (84%)
- Equal 4th in Grammar & Punctuation Growth (86%)
The Beachside Network contains 19 primary schools from Port Melbourne to Cheltenham along Port Phillip Bay. It is one of the highest performing networks in the State and National. In addition, Brighton Primary School exceeded both Network and State averages in every learning area.
These outstanding results reflect the hard work and dedication of our students, the expertise and commitment of our teachers and education support staff, and the strong partnership we enjoy with our families.
While we are proud of these achievements, our focus remains on continuous improvement and ensuring every student continues to learn, grow and become the very best version of themselves.
Thank you for your ongoing support of teaching and learning at Brighton Primary School.
Steve
