Canteen News

Hello MPS community,

I hope you're all well and keeping warm during these cold days. 

The canteen will be open during next Thursday's Open Night (September 4). I will have snacks, drinks, ice-creams and potentially some baked goods to go along with the P&C's sausage sizzle. 

Then come the following week on Friday 12 September, the Canteen will be running a bake sale during our school's Sports Carnival. To support the canteen's fundraiser, I'm asking the community to please bake some yummy food at home or potentially purchase some goodies and donate the items to the canteen. I'll be accepting donations starting next week and encourage the community to bring in donated goods up until the morning of Friday 12 Sept. When bringing donated goods, please bring along either an ingredients list or the packaging of the sweet or savoury items. This is for health and safety purposes, to ensure any community members that have high risk allergies, remain safe and well. 

I'm also looking for some volunteer support for our carnival day. If you can volunteer any time on Friday 12 September, please come and see me at the canteen and let me know. 

I truly appreciate any support the community can provide whether it's through donations, buying from the canteen and/or volunteering your time. With your support, it helps keep the canteen open and functional for the school community. 

Come the start of next week, pre-order forms will begin to make the rounds for Carnival Day lunch orders. An announcement on Dojo will go out for this form as well.

Lastly, I want to take the time to thank the volunteers that came together last week to keep the canteen open while I was ill. Rebekah, Mardia, Alison, Hollie, Dom and anyone else involved; thankyou 🙏
