Project Kaartdijin/Compass
A reminder that Mr Beilken announced in the last newsletter that Maranagroo has transitioned to a new student database system. Since the go live date on 12 August, we no longer have access to the third-party messaging system for parents to communicate absences.
The Compass system now sends a message to families when students are not in attendance at school. You will not be able to respond directly to these messages as you have done in the past. The new text message that you receive will have a link embedded that you will need to click on so that you can communicate the reason for your child's nonattendance at school. If you are having any trouble navigating the system, please call the front office on 9462 9999 or communicate the absence to the class teacher via Dojo.
Don't Bin it, Bring it - Officeworks recycling campaign
Officeworks runs a School Recycling Program with competitions where schools can win gift cards by returning full boxes of eligible items for recycling. The program aims to promote sustainability and divert waste from landfills. Each school that returns a full box has a chance to win a $250 gift card.
Marangaroo PS is taking part in the markers and pens recycling campaign. Each class will have a container for recycling old pens, markers and textas (no pencils) and once our school box is full, we will submit it for recycling and enter the draw to win a $250 Officeworks voucher for our school.
