Principal's Message

Mr Adam Beilken

Dear Parents, Caregivers, and School Community,

It is hard to believe we are already more than halfway through Term 3. Staff and students are well and truly settled into the rhythm of the term, and it has been wonderful to see students engaged in their learning and participating with such enthusiasm across all areas of the school. Classrooms are buzzing with activity, and it is pleasing to see the positive attitudes our students are bringing each day.

This term we continue to focus on strengthening our school culture through our PBS journey, which began in 2024. The “Marangaroo Way”—where respect, responsibility and care for others are at the heart of everything we do—remains central to our work. I’d like to thank families for the support you give at home in reinforcing these values; it makes a real difference in both the classroom and the playground.

2026 Enrolments

Kindergarten enrolments for 2026 are still open. We do not yet have a full cohort for this year, so if you or someone you know has a child turning four before 30 June 2026, please visit the office to collect an enrolment pack.

Arrival at School

We kindly remind families that children should be arriving at school between 8.30am and 8.45am, ready to begin their day. These 15 minutes are crucial for students to settle into routines and ensure a smooth transition into learning at 8.45am. When students arrive late, they miss valuable opportunities to engage with content and build peer connections. If your child is running late, please communicate with their teacher through the Dojo platform.

Week 7

Week 7 Events

Next week will be a very busy week at Marangaroo:

  • Book Week: Activities will begin in classrooms on Monday and culminate in a parade on Thursday 4 September, 9.00am in the undercover area.
  • Father’s Day Breakfast & Stall: On Tuesday 2 September the P&C will host a Father’s Day breakfast (from 8.00am in the undercover area), followed by the annual stall. Classes will attend throughout the morning to purchase gifts.
  • Open Evening: On Thursday 4 September, 4.00–6.00pm, classrooms will be open showcasing student work. The library will host the Book Fair, while the P&C will run a sausage sizzle and display student art linked to an upcoming fundraiser.

Election Commitment

At the recent state election, Daniel Pastorelli (MLA) and the Labor Party committed $70,000 to repair Marangaroo’s basketball courts. Works are scheduled to begin in the upcoming school holidays (27 September – 13 October). The old surface will be removed, tree roots addressed, and a new road base laid. While the bulk of work will be completed during the break, the courts will require additional time before painting can occur. The project is expected to be fully completed by mid-Term 4.
