From the SRC

The SRC Team worked tirelessly and put a ton of work into planning, setting up and running the Big Freeze event. 

We successfully ran the annual event on Thursday 13th of August. Students gathered around the oval to witness teachers and Year 12 sliders, who were dressed in their favourite costumes, go down a large slide with an ice cold water-filled bath waiting for them at the bottom! 

The sliders were: Principal Karl Russell (Bomber's Captain), Mr Wang (Detective Conan criminal shadow man), Mr Vidanovic (Julius Caesar), Mr Motteram (a Hobbit), Mr Donohue (Bohemian from WWRY Chelt.Sec Production), Mr Gardner (Pitbull), Mia (Spiderman), Vikki (Perry the Platypus), Ryan (Batman), Daniel (in Ms Voullaire's Dress), Finn (Woody) and Josh Keys (the 'better' Spiderman).

Thursday the 13th was also Free Dress Day, in which students were encouraged to dress in blue to support and raise money for FightMND.

The Big Freeze is an Australian-wide charity event. Founded by Neale Daniher AO, the event's purpose is to raise money for FightMND, an Australian leading independent foundation dedicated solely to fighting Motor Neurone Disease. It was a massive success.
