Coming Up in Interschool Sport

Year 7 Badminton

Congratulations to the Year 7 boys for not only making it to regionals badminton, but placing second overall! Benjamin S, Logan Z, Joseph A and Dylan A showed a tremendous amount of dedication to the sport and turned up to every training session with energy and enthusiasm.

On the day, they demonstrated our school values by showing good sportsmanship throughout and doing their very best. The finals was a thrilling watch and the team showed resilience in putting up a good fight in games that were neck and neck. Upon returning to school, they were keen to continue our lunchtime training sessions to return stronger next year, and I look forward to seeing their continual improvement!

Well done, team! You should all be very proud of yourselves!

Intermediate Girls Netball

Well done to the efforts of our Intermediate Girls Netball A Team, who participated in the Southern Metro finals at Jubilee Park on Thursday 6th August. It was a tough competition for this mix of Year 9 and 10 girls, who individually are all excellent netball players. We can't wait to see this group strengthen as a team. Great effort Ruby, Charli, Claire, Abigail, Shanaya, Grace, Milly, Gia, Annabel, Jasmine and Emma. We are pleased that you had a fun day out. Thank you Ms Hall for taking the team.

Year 8 Sport

Thank you to our hardworking staff who give up their classroom time to take students to sport. Friday 14th of August was Term 3 Sport for Year 8 students. Miss Wood went to Table Tennis and Mr Shnier went to Futsal both at MSAC. A good day was had by all and both staff spoke very highly of the friendly and positive attitude shown by their teams.

The same can be said for Ms Hargreaves and Ms Hall, who took the boys and girls basketball teams to Dandenong, both of the teams were extremely well behaved and showed outstanding sportsmanship. Thank you to Shanaya G, from Year 10, who coached the girls team.
