100 Days of School

Our Foundation students celebrated a very special milestone today, 100 Days of School!

To mark the occasion, students came dressed as 100-year-olds, delighting everyone with their creative costumes, grey hair, glasses and walking sticks. Throughout the day, students took part in a range of fun and engaging activities centred around the number 100, celebrating all they have learned and achieved in their first 100 days of school.

It was a wonderful opportunity to recognise their growth, confidence and resilience, and we are incredibly proud of everything our Foundation students have accomplished so far this year.

Professional Learning Communities (PLC)

This term, our teachers are continuing their Professional Learning Community (PLC) journey with a focus on Enabling Learning and Explicit Teaching, specifically exploring how effective scaffolding can enable every student to access and succeed in their learning.

Aligned with the Victorian Teaching and Learning Model (VTLM 2.0), staff are using student data, current research and collaborative inquiry to refine their classroom practice.

Throughout the term, teachers will use strategies, observe one another's practice and reflect on the impact these approaches have on student learning. We look forward to sharing our progress and celebrating the positive outcomes for our students as the term unfolds.

Victorian Premiers Reading Challenge

Our students have been enthusiastically participating in the Victorian Premiers' Reading Challenge, exploring new authors, discovering different genres and developing a lifelong love of reading. It has been wonderful to see so many students making great progress towards completing the challenge.

The Victorian Premiers' Reading Challenge closes on Friday, 5 September 2026, so there is still plenty of time for students to continue reading and recording the books they have completed. We encourage families to support their child's reading at home by setting aside time to read together each day and ensuring completed books are added to their Reading Challenge record.

Congratulations to all students who have already completed the challenge, and best of luck to everyone working towards this fantastic achievement!
