Bikes and Scooters on School Grounds

Dear Truganina College Families,
We love that so many of our students are riding bikes and scooters to school — it's a fantastic way to start the day! However, we'd like to gently remind all families of an important safety expectation once on school grounds.
PLEASE WALK BIKES AND SCOOTERS AT ALL TIMES ON SCHOOL GROUNDS
This applies to students, siblings, and visitors - before school, during drop-off, and at pick-up time.
Our school grounds are busy and active, especially at the start and end of the day. Riding bikes and scooters through these spaces creates real risks for students, younger siblings, and staff in shared areas.
We ask that bikes and scooters are dismounted at the school gate and walked to the bike rack area. Riding can resume once students are safely back outside school grounds at the end of the day.
A note for families with younger siblings: If little ones have a bike or scooter too, the same rule applies - please hold their hands and walk with them once through the gates.
Thank you for helping us keep our school community safe and welcoming for everyone. Please don't hesitate to speak with a staff member at the front office if you have any questions.
Warm regards,
The Truganina College Team
