CGPS Family Day - Tuesday 14th October
We are delighted to announce our upcoming Family Day celebration, a special event dedicated to honouring and appreciating all the wonderful parents and guardians in our school community. This day is all about recognising the incredible effort and support you provide to your children and to our school.
Date: Tuesday, 14th of October
Time: 7:45 AM - 9:00 AM
Location: Basketball court & undercover area
Join us for a delightful morning filled with pastries, hot drinks, and live music. It's a perfect opportunity to relax, enjoy some treats, and connect with other families and school staff.
We kindly request a $10 donation per family to help cover the event's costs and support future school activities (this can be done via Compass). Your contribution is greatly appreciated.
Let's come together to celebrate and show our gratitude for the amazing community we have. We look forward to seeing you there and sharing this special day with all of you!
JSC Announcements
Chess Tournament at CGPS
We’re thrilled to confirm that CGPS will host another interschool tournament this year, and it’s set to be bigger and better than ever! This time it’s a Primary Open, meaning all students from Prep to Grade 6 are welcome to join.
Event Details:
- Date: Monday, 13 October
- Time: 9:00am – 2:30pm (plus presentations)
- Who: Prep–Grade 6, all skill levels welcome
- Where: CGPS, PAC Room
Cost: $25 per player (payable on the day, usually cash)
⚡ These spots fill up very quickly, so please register your child as soon as possible—no payment is required at the time of booking.
As the host school, we’ll also have the home ground advantage—which means more CGPS players can participate, qualify for semifinals, and (hopefully!) take home as many wins as we did last year!

Breakfast Club
We are on the lookout for parent volunteers each week to help with cereal, toast and general good vibes. If you can lend a hand on your child’s rostered day, or any day, we’d love to have you! Please email the school at carlton.gardens.ps@education.vic.gov.au with the subject line BREAKFAST CLUB.

2026 Enrollments
If you are enrolling your child's/children's siblings for Prep next year, please call the office for enrolment forms and we can send them home.
Music Lessons
If you would like to enquire about instrumental lessons please contact any of the teachers below. Payment is made directly to them and classes are subject to availability.
Cost:
Individual Lessons - $44 per 30-minute lesson
Group Lessons (2-4 students) - $20 per 30-minute lesson
