Davisson Street Campus House Chess Competition 2025

Twenty players from Years 10 to 12 participated in the 2025 Davisson Street Campus House Chess Tournament, held over successive lunchtimes in the final weeks of Term Three. The event was a knockout tournament using blitz time controls (5 minutes per player with no time increment per move). In each round, the first player to register two wins progressed to the next round in the tournament.

Congratulations to Cruze De Giorgio (Barinya) who won the Gold Medal Match against Eric Tun (Larapinta). Both boys played excellent chess throughout the tournament.

Congratulations also to Ekin Dang (Larapinta) and Gabrielle Malaga (Alkira) who played a tense and very close Bronze Medal Match, with Ekin prevailing in the deciding game. All four finalists received a medal for their achievements.

Thank you to the Year 12 students for participating in your final year, and to all the Years 10 and 11 students, we hope that you will compete again in 2026.
