Badano Program

Wellbeing Week – A Great Start to the Term 4
This term began on a positive note with the celebration of Wellbeing Week, where students engaged in meaningful discussions and activities centred on understanding mental health. During their Badano classes, lessons focused on the emotional, psychological, and social aspects of wellbeing, highlighting that mental health is essential to overall wellbeing, as it influences how we think, feel, and act.
Students explored ways to enhance their own mental health by brainstorming practical strategies and participating in activities such as gratitude writing, mindfulness colouring, and guided meditation. These sessions encouraged students to recognise how healthy lifestyle choices, such as regular sleep, physical activity, and balanced nutrition, can have a positive impact on mental health and overall wellbeing.
Another key focus was the importance of building strong, supportive relationships, which contribute to a sense of belonging and connection within our College community.
Students were also introduced to the Student Wellness Challenge, which encourages participation in a range of wellbeing activities. As part of the challenge, students are invited to submit a short paragraph explaining how these activities have supported their wellbeing journey.
Wellbeing Week provided a valuable opportunity for students to reflect, connect, and strengthen their understanding of how to care for their mental health, setting a positive tone for the term ahead.
