Congratulations to Our State Volleyball Representatives

We’re proud to celebrate the achievements of five talented students who were selected to represent Western Australia at the Australian Youth Volleyball Championships (AYVC) held in Perth at the end of last Term.

  • Under 18s: Jacob Allison and Reilly Cooper

  • Under 16s: Blake Huppatz, Oliver Pontre and Thomas Shaw

The AYVC is the premier national event for high school-aged indoor volleyball players, bringing together the best youth teams from across Australia to compete for national titles in multiple divisions. It offers a high-level competitive platform for players under 18 and showcases top-performing representatives of the sport.

Outstanding Results:

  • Jacob and Reilly’s Under 18s team reached the finals and proudly brought home silver medals.

  • Blake’s Under 16s team also secured silver medals, marking a fantastic achievement.

This competition caps off an exciting year of volleyball for these five players. It also marks a significant milestone for Reilly Cooper (TC Captain) and Jacob Allison (TC Vice-Captain) as they conclude their leadership journey with distinction.

Meanwhile, we’re thrilled to welcome Blake, Oliver, and Thomas into TC’s First Volleyball Team for the 2025-2026 season. With these new state representatives on board, we look forward to an exhilarating season ahead!

First Team Cricket Success

Our 1st Team Cricket students made us proud during the Term 3 holidays. A wonderful sense of cricket camaraderie between the touring team from NSW The Scots College and TC, with Trinity winning by 58 runs. Well done boys!

U/14 National Hockey Tournament

Trinity was very well represented at the recent U/14 National Hockey Tournament held in Brisbane from 3 – 12 October.

Jonty Booth was part of the WA Gold Team. He scored two goals during the tournament, helping to secure his team’s placement in the Grand Final which they went on to win in a very exciting match, claiming the gold medal.

Trinity’s own Mr Mitchell Russell lead the WA Black team as Head Coach, and Mr James Clark co-captained this team.

The Black Team won their positional play-off, finishing a respectable 9th overall.  They also won the tournaments’ “Play the Whistle” award - an initiative to encourage competing hockey teams and team officials to play in the true spirit of the game. This is an excellent accolade, led from the front by the Head Coach, Mitch. Congratulations to them all on an excellent tournament!
