National Youth Advisory Group

Applications 2026 Now Open!

Are you aged 16 to 24 and want to help the Australian Government take action on issues that matter to you? The Office for Youth run Youth Advisory Groups to support young people to connect with government. They work with Ministers and government agencies on policies and programs that affect young people. There are currently four Youth Advisory Groups open for applications including: 

 

  • Countering Foreign Interference Youth Advisory Group working with the Department of Home Affairs

  • First Nations Youth Advisory Group working with the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies

  • Mental Health Youth Advisory Group working with the National Mental Health Commission

  • Sports Participation Youth Advisory Group working with the Australian Sports Commission

 

Applications close on Sunday 26 October 2025, and no experience is needed to apply.

The National Office of Youth will be hosting an information session on Wednesday, 8 October at 2 pm to 3 pm AWST.

 

During this session they will share more about the application process and answer your questions.

Available for Students Who

  • Are 18 years or older and have successfully completed their high school certificate in the last three years (2023+)

  • Have completed Year 12 Mathematics Standard 2 or equivalent (listed in application form)


Masterclass - Final ATAR Exam Focus Program

Term 4, 2025  |  Final Program commencing this Saturday 18 October

 

Year 12 Exam Focus Program 

  • The Exam Focus program consists of 6 hours of teaching broken up into 2 sessions of 3 hours each, 

  • The range of subjects has been significantly increased with many of the less popular subjects included in the schedule for the first time. 

 

Year 10 & 11 Exam Focus Program 

  • The Exam Focus program consists of 8 hours of teaching broken up into 4 sessions of 2 hour duration over 4 weekends.

  • 1 hour classes held over 7 weeks, last class being Saturday 29 November. 

 

Year 7 – 9 Master Class Program

  • 1 hour classes held over 7 weeks, last class being Saturday 29 November.

 

Students may enrol in these classes at any time during the Term and pay pro rata, 20% discount per subject also applies.
