We are excited to announce that we have engaged a company to begin our School Master Plan. The company DesignInc. has created a number of Master Plans for Catholic Education and is very well known in the community. One of their most recent designs is on Main North Road at Enfield - OLSH College! We will be in touch with you in the coming weeks to get your input for the redesign of our school.
This Wednesday is our Book Week Parade. Students can dress up in their favourite character from a book they love. Parents are welcome to stay and watch the Parade. Playgroup students can also come and participate in the Parade.
School fees for 2024
We are pleased to inform our school families that there will be no increase in school fees for the 2024 school year.
Catholic Education SA has announced it will freeze tuition fees at its 84 Diocesan schools for the 2024 school year.
“We recognise that cost-of-living increases are putting significant pressure on families,” says Dr Neil McGoran, Executive Director, Catholic Education SA.
“Growth in enrolments across the State in our 101 Catholic Schools, together with prudent financial management, puts us in a position where we are able to hold tuition fees at this year’s level.”
Dr McGoran said the fee-freeze will not impact the quality of education.
“We’re committed to keeping school fees as low as possible and ensuring a Catholic education is affordable and accessible to all.”
Since 2019, Catholic Education SA has been implementing the Making Catholic Education More Affordable Initiative to ensure Catholic schools are accessible to any family who wants their child to have a Catholic education.
In addition to the fee-freeze, further fee remissions are available to any family who is struggling to pay school fees due to financial difficulties. Families should contact Mr. Damian Emery or Mrs. Shannon Correll for more information.
We also had another article in the paper last week! We really do have a wonderful school community.
Next week, I will be taking Renewal leave and traveling to the Catholic University in Leuven - Belgium. I will be involved in studying an intensive Master's Level Theological course with a number of other Principals and APRIMs from Australia and New Zealand. I will return at the beginning of Term 4. During my absence, Mrs. Paula Burns will be the Acting Principal. You are all in very capable hands!
Please be aware that you are no longer able to park on Way Street opposite the school (North Side)to pick up your child/ren. This is now a NO Standing zone. The council will fine you if you park on that side. We will also not be walking children to cars who are not following the road rules. This keeps both our students and staff safe. Please collect your child at the front of the school on the south side of Way Street.
Each year we run a survey to get parent feedback about our school. Sadly, only about a dozen families respond to the survey. This survey helps us keep track of what we have been doing and helps us plan for what we should do in the future. This is your chance to share your thoughts.
