Excursion to Twisted Science

On Wednesday 2nd of September the Foundation students went to Twisted Science. The students and teachers were very excited! We took a bus to Twisted Science all the way to Moorabbin. 

After we arrived we had a safety briefing and got to put on our safety glasses. 

We then did a science workshop where we learnt about the difference between chemical and physical reactions. We mixed household chemicals with a special indicator and watched the reactions happen. Some changed colours and one even fizzed. 

After we had some snacks we went downstairs to explore the giant exhibit floor. Some of the exhibits were the bubble exhibit (where we made giant bubbles), the launch exhibit (where we built paper aeroplanes and then used the launcher) and the engineer exhibit (where we used mega blocks to construct). 

To end the day we took a class photo in the illusion/upside down room. When we got back to school we had lunch and then the skipathon! It was a big day but we had so much fun.
